Checking in on The Status of Your Candidacy After an Interview

Landing an interview can be exciting, especially when the role is your dream job. You’ve prepared yourself throughout the days leading up to your interview, and on the day of you knocked the interview out of the park. Now it’s time to be patient. Keep in mind that although you might have felt your interview went well, your potential employer has to not only interview other candidates, but ultimately gather and analyze dozens of internal data points. Limit yourself to one check-in every 3-5 days, and frame early messages more like thank-yous than requests for updates. You don’t want to come off as too demanding or even desperate when inquiring about the status of your candidacy.  Remember: sometimes good things come to those who wait.
