But to do so, employers must overhaul nearly every aspect of the hiring process. We advise clients to view hiring less as a search for talent, but rather as an invitation to apply. A search can imply a closed process, or at best a targeted effort going after specific insiders. But an invitation implies an open-door process that seeks broad exposure, shares the backstory, and presents a mission-aligned opportunity.
