When exploring a position, many candidates have fundamental questions or concerns that could keep them from applying. To whom would they report? With whom would they work on a day-to-day basis on various initiatives? Would they inherit any direct reports? Sometimes questions like these would be best answered with a good visual, such as a governance diagram, to show interconnectedness and organizational structures. Developing an image that shows the high-level picture can also be a good way to ensure internal stakeholders are aligned on not just priorities but reporting relationships and shared areas of responsibility.
