The Value of Every Job Experience

Your resume should include all work experience, both short and long term. Sometimes it’s tempting to leave off short-term positions because they may look questionable to potential employers. However, a savvy employer will inquire about the time gap in your resume at some point anyway, and eventually you will need to be fully transparent on an HR application. It is best to be upfront and honest about your all work experiences, no matter the tenure. Disclosing short-term work experience earlier on allows you to control the initial narrative, rather than be on the defensive when subsequent probing leads to unexpected disappointment.
